Jason Perry Stone's stunning Album PLASTIC FANTASY is a must have for pop enthusiasts! His vocal stylings are pleasantly unusual - a black and white marriage of soft, haunting whispers and powerful, piercing vocals.
His new album, Plastic Fantasy, has purely addictive melodies and bold lyrics fused with booming electronic stylings and upbeat house rhythms. Lyrically, his songwriting always starts with a story... "I'm definitely a story teller... I choose experiences I want to share and let a melody come to me. From there, the song is created in much of the same way a Jackson Pollock painting is created... in the moment. Each song is an ephemeral experience. I've had many a moment where I'm at the gym or on a run, and wallah! I'll have my hook. I carry a personal recorder everywhere I go. When I'm in the studio, I often just chain myself there all day and night for weeks at a time. I let the creativity flow until I'm completely drained...and wired at the same time. It's this simultaneous sensation of excitement and exhaustion that I look for when producing my music. When you feel like that, its a good indication that you love what you're creating."
In 2005-2007, Jason headed the rock band Masterstroke as lead singer, playing at venues like Hollywood's Key Club and is known for the singles "Heaven Knows" and "Falling Deeper." Later in 2008-2010, he sang lead for urban pop band, Port 80.
In 2010, Jason was featured in the film documentary, "Interdependence Day" starring as himself alongside a cast of several other artists. In the film, he performs his original material with rap artist, Kas Rass.
Present day, Jason works diligently on several solo EPs: dance-pop laced with R&B and hip hop flavors, heartfelt ballads, and soulful vocals. He currently just finished performing a Southern California Tour: THE PLASTIC FANTASY TOUR. Catch him on stage with an energizing hip hop dance crew, exciting new choreography, live musicians and maybe just a piano and a mic. Right now, Jason is working on his 3rd EP, while simultaneously preparing to release his first album. His upcoming album is due soon on this website and iTunes and his EP's are available for sale at shows.
